The first question, I don't know if this is actually the right answer or not, but I would probably go with β I know this is free weights, but I would go with like a squat rack or like an adjustable barbell rack where you can do squats.
You could do, say, bench press, rows.
You can even set the barbell high enough to be able to do pull-ups and stuff on.
I just think there's just so many exercises that can be done with that piece of equipment.
In terms of cost, it's going to be a lot less than what a lot of other pieces of gym equipment are.
Like a lot of these cable machines and stuff are quite a big investment, which I'm not saying it's not worth it, but there's a lot you can do with that barbell and it's a really, really good progression
to a lot of the earlier free weight exercises that you would do with body weight or dumbbells, you know, and so you can really overload your training without really needing a bunch of equipment.
Like even in our apartment at home, like particularly after all the COVID stuff, we've got, you know, some dumbbells, a squat rack, plates, barbell, and our training was awesome like the whole time.
Does that answer the question?
Yep, I do, and it's pull-ups.
And I think you're a good example of this actually.
But again, how good did you feel when you got it?
And so, yeah, of course.
So there's so many benefits to it.
