But I've watched Pat come and do this for a long time.

So often with interviews, especially these days, the journos are there to try and spark some kind of controversy, get headlines, get them to say something which is going to generate media interest.

There's an example where I think it was the last time the Australian team were in England and in the interview, one of the English journalists said to him, James Anderson, who's a legendary English fast bowler, was in here yesterday and he said that he watched you bowling the nets yesterday and he thinks that Rabada is a much better bowler than you are.

Which is such a high school bully thing to say.

Like it sounds like high school.

I remember going, oh my God, like that would, if I was Pat Cummins, that would really sort of, anyway, he just took a deep breath and he paused and he went, cool.

That's all he said.

And I truly believe that's also what he thinks.
