And a lot of these jobs are really high stress, high pressure jobs where you need to be cognitively focused.
You need to make decisions about drug doses under pressure, decisions about what do we do on scene versus off scene.
And they're often really emotive scenes.
And so, yeah, I started out on the road.
My whole thing was I need to get to an intensive care paramedic level.
That took me about eight years.
And then I started working on a first response check.
So my job was to respond to high acuity work, critically unwell patients.
And a lot of those jobs are pre-hospital jobs.
If you don't initiate the right care, they don't get to hospital.
Cardiac arrest, severe anaphylaxis, severe asthma.
These are things that you treat pre-hospitaly.
And I had a couple of jobs go wrong.
I made poor clinical decisions under pressure.
And it was a real light bulb moment for me because I was just like, oh, man, I'm... Because what happened from that is, I mean, the ambulance service is a small place.
It affected my confidence.
And I started going to particular jobs where I felt I could feel my heart racing.
Like, I could feel my hands getting clammy.
And I was like...
