I was like, I wasn't really doing anything productive.
I was doing low level work rather than work that would shift the needle.
Um, and so I just went into the gym, did this five minute breathing flow and I came back at it and
I'm just like a different human being.
It's the same thing.
When I go through times in my life which can be overwhelming, I always go back to the walking.
I've got a track near the house, and I'll just go down, and I'll just 20-minute walk, sit at the river down there, the waterfall, take everything in, just not move for 10 minutes, man, just let everything settle.
And then I come away from that, and I just feel like a whole different human being.
And it's because these things, the key thing to understand is these things, meditation, getting in nature, social connection, exercise, they shift our state.
They shift our physical and mental state, right?
When you shift your physical and mental state into one of more calm, you are more likely to have constructive thoughts, better emotions.
So you can, we don't think we can control our thoughts.
We can by shifting our state.
Yeah, so this is my wheelhouse, the breathing stuff.
I mean, I've designed an entire course on it called Performance Breathing.
It's broken down into three sections.
Breathing mechanics, getting better access to your diaphragm.
That has a massive effect in terms of being able to shift into a calm state, but also postural control.
So when you inhale, diaphragm drops down, increases pressure inside the intra-abdominal cavity to stabilize the lumbar spine.
We don't often think of breathing for stability and core tension, but it's kind of like the top of the core.
