And the interesting thing about the human body is you can have shit-ass breathing and be really fit.
I've seen it so many times.
The body is an adaptive machine, man.
If you're over-breathing, it'll just compensate it at the other end.
But there's a massive cost associated with that, and that is...
the cost on your nervous system.
It's putting a lot of stress and pressure on your nervous system, a lot of stress and pressure on your cardiovascular system.
It affects your recovery, predisposes you to injury, poor sleep, all of these ripple-on effects, right?
Four or five things.
first thing is they worked until late in life because they were passionate about what they do they all have a veggie patch uh so they you know food nutrition is really important they're still socially connected so they um you know they still have good social connections because isolation is terrible for us um they have a sense of humor humor yeah
Um, and they have good stress control.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Cause you don't get, you don't have longevity without good stress control.
So yeah, it is those five things.
And if I was to say, you know, I did my own, um,
I did my own bit of research when I was working on the ambulance, and when I went to someone over the age of 90 who was high-functioning, both physically and cognitively, I would ask them, hey, what's the trick to aging so well?
And three things would come up time and time again, and it was that they had something, passion and purpose in life.
You know, they were still very socially connected.
And this isn't even, they all had veggie patches.
