If you handed him a block of fucking steel and a file, give it enough time, he can make you a gun.

He knows the plus and minus in thousands on the hammer hooks of the sear.

He knows this shit.

The guy, you could call him and go, my gun is doing such and such.

And he goes, it's probably this.

And 99% of the time it would be.

And he could literally, man, diagnose and help you fix your gun over a number of posts.

And he was fucking good at it.
