They don't want to tip applicants off and give them any help to use AI.
So they're not saying exactly how it's being used.
Exactly.
They've got to keep a lot of this close to the vest.
But, you know, as we are seeing in other spaces, AI is unfortunately being used to create this content.
And it is getting some people into trouble because when AI is detected as part of an application process,
It can potentially, it'll scuttle the application process.
It can also mean that the person who is applying is banned from applying again for another five years.
And so there are serious repercussions here and they're noticing an alarming increase in those numbers.
Yeah, it's hard to tell, although as part of this story, both the IRCC and IRB here in Canada have said they do not use AI for decision-making purposes.
So they're not injecting AI into the adjudication process.
They might use it for administration.
They might use it to kind of raise productivity of individual human workers, but they're not using it to replace humans or take humans out of the decision-making process.
That's kind of good news.
But at the same time, those lines are very fuzzy and those lines can move over time.
And so there's nothing that says that six months from now or a year from now, those rules won't change.
And the fact is, there aren't published rules about how our immigration departments and officials will use AI.
And that to me is problematic because it means they can make it up as they go along and we can wake up one day and magically AI is being used to decide who gets into the country and who does not.
So Southwest Airlines, so one of the biggest airlines in the US, starting April 20th, if you're a passenger, you're only going to be able to carry one charger onto the plane.
