Okay, Sarah said, I was a pretty angsty, clinically depressed teen and fell into an emo crowd in rural Arkansas, which is always about Arkansas, which always freaks me out. In fact, at one point, my group of friends and I were planning to start an emo band.

My friend Shorty was going to be the lead singer and the rest of us, well, we weren't sure because not a single one of us played an instrument. Also, Shorty could not sing. Thankfully, that plan fell apart quickly. Acme said, I wanted to chime in on the Hare Krishnas stopping the emo versus punk fight in Mexico. The hardcore band Cro-Mags have a Hare Krishna background.

That's how I personally heard about the Hare Krishna movement. There's also another sub-genre called Krishna Corps established by other bands like Shelter and one away. Do you know this?

Blows my mind. I'd never heard of it. Yeah. John says, I'm from Arizona. Thanks for the episode. Thank you, especially Rob. I started listening to all the bands you mentioned in this episode and I really love them. I fell in love with Dashboard Confessional specifically. I've already listened to the first two albums and I'm going to listen to them all.

So yeah, you have a new fan, Dashboard Confessional. I looked it up and they're playing in my state in July. I'm going to wear my flightless bird shirt to the show.

Well, Sarah wrote in and said, I have a 14 year old emo daughter, which is a very funny sentence. I have an emo daughter. She loves all different kinds of music, but is crazy for my chemical romance. I'm taking her to a violent femmes and my chemical romance show this summer. She also loves, this gets better and better. This kid legitimately sounds the best.

She also loves and saying clown posse, which is amazing. I didn't know what that was until your podcast. And finally, I'm going to end on Megan. She said, what are your fans called? Birdies? Consider me a birdie. So I guess that is what it is. It's birdies.

Yeah, because people were basically writing in saying, oh, my God, am I wearing one of your shirts that you designed back in the day?
