To answer the question, I think it was his last game for Celtic.
Yeah, I would think so.
I can't see him committing to a two or three year contract.
But I mean, I think if you look at Celtic's recent managers, Ange Postacolo was what, two years?
Brendan Rodgers, both times was two and a half years or something like that.
It's interesting because, you know, Martin has been, he handles all this stuff quite well.
But I think I must have asked him about five times the other day, do you want to stay?
And he sidestepped, he's dropping shoulders left, right and centre.
I couldn't pin him down at all and I think everybody tried again yesterday and nobody could pin him down as well.
I think he wants to stay.
I do think he wants to stay.
He's two games away from the Champions League.
Can you imagine?
that must be tempting he must feel reinvigorated by the success by working with younger coaches by the chance to maybe mould the team a little bit more in his style and I get it I agree I do think at some stage Celtic need to try and rebuild I just wonder with so much going on this summer whether they do Dermot Desmond just thinks you know what 12 months of Martin O'Neill and then we'll see what happens
that that's kind of come up I get that Andrew but I also wonder whether and I don't mean to sound cynical but keeping Martin O'Neill might help in terms of unity you know because he has managed to kind of unify things to a certain extent I think he would he's got such popularity at the club that you know I don't think people en masse I think it would be people with reservations that do want a younger manager but I don't think en masse people would be really really complaining about it
so I think that again you need to factor all that in as well but as I said earlier on I think what's happened in the last couple of weeks and the success I think it's probably now down to whether Martin O'Neill really wants to be considered and wants to go again and I think if he tells the Celtic board that he does
He was the self-styled doctor.
This was the thing with Paul Tisdale.
