And, um, and it was just really gnarly for all of us.
And my mom had eight kids at home and my dad financially, I think emotionally, mentally, he was just on his own wavelength, but wasn't helping much at all financially.
So my mom went and got two jobs.
So she's working the graveyard and, um,
I still remember the night it happened.
My brother Joey dropped me off at the house.
He says, hey, dude, you got to help mom.
We're all married.
You're the only citizen married.
And I wasn't equipped to be a dad.
Yeah.
I was, what, 21, 22.
Yeah, I wasn't equipped to get to, like, be a surrogate.
Not a surrogate father, but you know what I mean, be a pops.
They were my siblings.
I loved them.
And so I moved in, stayed with my mom.
My mom worked two jobs.
I worked framing houses and working construction, and we just made ends meet.
You know, my mom was an amazing human being, and she taught me so much about forgiveness.
