So Joey, let's get your initial reaction to the EFL news from yesterday that there has to be a vote on how the season, whether the season will continue and what's your stance on it?
well let's just clear that up joey so we've got a couple of tables we can show people we've got um the league as it stands uh so there you are sitting very comfortably in in fifth place with peterborough in sixth place but let me draw everyone's attention to wickham who have played a game fewer than yourselves and two games fewer than sunderland so they're in eighth place and this is what happens
When we go to what the EFL are proposing, which is the unweighted points per game, so that means you basically divide up the number of points you have by the games you play.
It doesn't matter if they're home or away.
You slip to sixth place, but Wickham, you see, leap from eighth to third, and Peterborough then suddenly drop out of the playoff picture.
So this is, of course, only, Joey, if people vote to decide that they've played enough football this season, they don't want to play on.
What would you say to those clubs that...
that are reluctant right now, that don't want to play on?
Joey, can I ask you, I'll take the conversation in a slightly different direction, if I may.
I want to ask you about Joey Barton, the manager.
I think a lot of people have been watching from the outside with great interest on how you would do.
And obviously, you've had a very successful season to this point.
What have you learned about yourself as a manager on your journey so far?
Well said, Joey.
Good to talk to you this morning.
I'm sorry we can't talk for longer.
Just a final thought.
We do have the Wiccan manager, Gareth Ainsworth, on a little bit later on.
And as things stand, if the season was to end and we go into the playoffs, you would be facing Wiccan Wanderers.
Any little message we can fire to Gareth from you?
