Now, the truth is, if there was the same level of commitment to decisively and immediately helping the average person, there's a myriad there are myriad ways in which Trump could make it happen overnight.

But the only things that happen immediately are things like bombing Iran.

Now, the uncomfortable reality, as always, is a lot of people believe this and fell for it.

They fell for the original promise.

They weren't naive, but it was repeated and they wanted to believe it.

They wanted to believe it because a lot of people could use seven grand right now.

So this is the cycle.

You make a bold claim.

There's no follow through.

You pivot to the next issue before the previous one is examined.

And when people realize nothing is coming, attention has moved on to something else.
