It's the way you respond to each other when you're presenting material is teaching the audience, is helping the audience understand how they should feel about it.

That you're giving them sometimes very dry facts like, I don't know, are their revenues doubled every year for 100 years straight?

And the audience may not know that that's something that's an incredible thing.

And the way you respond, even sophisticated listeners are helped.

Oh, pay attention now.

That's an important thing.

I should get excited about that.

There's no disagreement.

You can't pretend to be surprised.

Or you would be pretending to be surprised.
