So how you treat a pitcher in 2021 when Alec Manoa emerged and then 22 when he had that
It's very different than how they're going to treat Treyu Savage going forward.
And I think if there are lessons to be learned and applied, only John Schneider and Pete Walker can think about that and talk about that and have it
It's going to play out because of what they in the front office think.
But it is telling the way that the Blue Jays brought Trey along slowly this year in spring training.
And I think that says a lot that, OK, they are treating him differently in a way that maybe Manoa kind of pushed through injuries during his tenure with the Blue Jays.
Yeah, you are, you are.
I mean, so I think what you're trying to get at is there, Alec Manoa is not necessarily a cautionary tale for Trey Savage.
And I think it also speaks to the precarious nature of pitching.
Like and how hard it is to have a sustained career, you know, of success.
Like not everybody is going to have the success.
the years that Manoa had, not everybody's going to be able to string together five or 10 years of that.
If you do, you're a surefire hall of famer.
I talked to Kevin Gossman a little bit for the story that you mentioned about Manoa earlier.
And he said that, I mean, first, before we even talk about that, I mean, look at Gossman's career, right?
At the end of it now, on the back nine of his career, he's got a reputation for a guy who's posted, a guy who's built a long career.
