yeah it's um definitely reassuring that and honestly that um wbc experience was pretty great for me too like getting to you know get in there and and face uh the best hitters in the world and um that was something that that definitely gave me the confidence like okay like i can do this and i've had lives before in spring training and and i've
kind of gotten my feet wet in terms of like, okay, it's not every time I throw my fastball it's going to get hit for a home run.
And it's kind of slowly developed into where when I got into the game at Yankee Stadium, there was no room for me to have doubts.
And that's how it's got to be.
It's a tough game.
And if you don't believe in yourself, you're putting yourself really far behind the eight ball.
So it's really just focusing on
as cliche as it is focusing on what I can control and just being like, okay, I'm going to be in the zone.
And with two strikes, I'm going to try to expand or be really fine before I'm throwing the pitches.
And whatever happens after that, I'm willing to live with because I'm putting everything into those things.
So it definitely, the Yankee stadium atmosphere was definitely kind of, you know, sink or swim.
And, and the fact that I was able to have success there was definitely a big marker as well.
Yeah, they were definitely nerves.
Usually, for me, it's like I'm really nervous and trying to predict what will happen, what won't happen until I get on the mound.
And once I'm on the mound throwing my warm-up pitches, it settles down where I'm like, okay, this is the same thing I've been doing my whole life.
And sometimes I am too good at that to where I don't have that little jitter to kind of get me going.
Luckily, it wasn't even possible, I think, to do that at the WBC or at Yankee Stadium.
So I was right in the spot where I wanted to be in compete mode and just ready to get after it.
And that's something I really like out of the bullpen as well.
It's just really you have one inning, hopefully 10 to 15 pitches to lock in, and you're really, like, fighting out there.
