Farmers can't put their crop in.
I've got a saying where I'm from.
It's obviously we're relegated by Woolies and Coles.
I choose Woolies purely because of convenience.
But when I'm back out home in the snowies or if I'm out west where my girl's from,
We'll go to the farmer's markets, man.
Like one of the things, I lived up on the southern end of the Gold Coast for a few years after I got out of the army.
And I used to, every weekend I'd go to the farmer's markets, you know, whether that was in Ballina or Bangalore or wherever they were, purely because you're getting it direct from farm.
The price is great and the quality is better than anything you can get from any of the Woolies or the Coles.
But...
We just don't have that availability in the cities or in the larger regional towns or whatever you call it.
Where's the money gone?
We need to stop chipping the farmers at the farm gate and jacking the prices up at the checkout because that's what's the problem.
I say each bag of shopping these days roughly equates to about $100 or $120.
That's usually what you pay per bag.
And I've got a big family, bro.
As I mentioned to you, I've got four kids.
It's not, yeah, it doesn't go a long way.
Where's the money going?
I don't know if you raised it just then, but the inheritance tax as well.
