Anyway, but I think internalizing it young and recognizing the differences in treatment, it kind of made me rebel against that whole concept in general that like, and you know, somebody asked me the other day, like, why light-skinned people are more pro-black?
It's like, no, they're not.
And that's the thing, too.
It's like, I don't, you know what I'm saying?
Like, a lot of niggas I know playing it safe.
You know what I'm saying?
Light skin, dark skin, in between.
And I think that it made me bring up the topic of colorism is that you're platforming or paying more attention to light skin people because that's what you've been taught to do.
It's a lot of, like, shit.
I don't know how to candle to some of these women.
You know what I'm saying?
But they won't listen to them.
So it's like, even at some points, it's like I'm learning from them.
