This family, you know, it's like these folk.
You know, these folk like, yeah, you know, I remember when you was, man, I don't know you, man.

But I think the thing is, it made me very aware of young.
Like, oh, there's a difference in how we treat it, even within our family.
So it's like, I don't want to ever get involved in that shit.
I don't never want to get involved in like,
making my identity about being light-skinned.
Anyway, but I think internalizing it young and recognizing the differences in treatment, it kind of made me rebel against that whole concept in general that like, and you know, somebody asked me the other day, like, why light-skinned people are more pro-black?
It's like, no, they're not.
And that's the thing, too.
It's like, I don't, you know what I'm saying?
Like, a lot of niggas I know playing it safe.
You know what I'm saying?
Light skin, dark skin, in between.
