And I remember a friend had vaginismus from tampons and putting them in wrong because they were in so much pain all the time because they weren't doing it properly that their body, their pelvic floor just literally caused them so much pain and trauma for years.
And I just think like what you're saying, Pete, like imagine being eight as well, like such a young age to get your period.
You don't fully understand your body.
Like school doesn't teach you about it.
You might not have caregivers that do.
So then we're kind of stuck, like we've been saying, with a lot of shame.
And this was something that we wanted to find out from you.
Like, were you an early bloomer or were you a late bloomer?
It's like you either had a lot of shame because you were early and you couldn't relate to anyone or you had shame because you were late.
So 25% of you said that you were a late bloomer, 26% of you said you were an early bloomer and 49% said you were, I don't know, average.
because it's enough growth and change in your body that it's noticeable through your t-shirt but it's not yet a warranting wearing a bra and for me it caused a lot of body dysmorphia not because I didn't want to be perceived as a female but I just didn't want to be perceived as an adult you know you're in grade three you're not mentally ready for the changes that your body's going through
