Because I think we have this idea of like...
which we're going to talk about of what an adult body looks like and the sexualization around that.
And then you're like this innocent child who's like, wait, I don't even fully, I can't even write fully yet.
I'm not even slightly close to becoming an adult yet.
People are looking at my body like it is one.
And that's not even to mention the body dysmorphia that people might feel if they don't relate to the gender that they're being assigned, right?
So we'll hear from our trans fam soon about that specific experience.
But yeah, I want to unpack a little bit about that sexualization that does happen to girls in our world.
Because I grew up in a school where a lot of the girls in my year were really developed quite young.
And they were the ones that were so sexualized.
Like all the guys would talk about them.
All the guys would call them hot.
Like some of the girls would get like literally their asses grabbed or like it was so disgusting to watch.
And it was weird because you don't fully understand as a woman or as a girl, actually, like what's going on.
But you know that your worth is now being tied to what your body looks like.
So as someone who was a late bloomer, I didn't understand that what was happening was actually quite disgusting, but I wanted to be a part of it.
It's like I wanted the attention, which is so gross to think.
