Trump sees himself as a global peacemaker, and his inability to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, which started in 2022, has been a point of frustration for him.

But now the president is signaling progress in negotiations that took place in recent days in Berlin.

officials say that as part of the peace deal, Ukraine could get some NATO protections, though they would not be joining the alliance.

But that and other measures are still under discussion.

The president signed a recent executive order that launched the new AI initiative.

Officials claim that by releasing federal data sets, scientific discovery and innovation with AI will happen at a much faster rate, as in what used to take years could take days.

The push to innovate faster comes as the White House and some Republicans have also expressed interest in quashing state regulations on AI.

Proponents of the idea say that having a patchwork of state AI laws makes commerce more difficult, but critics say that in lieu of Congress passing anything on regulating AI,

states need to make their own laws to try to protect consumers and hold tech companies accountable.

is that the airspace, quote, above and surrounding Venezuela should be considered closed in its entirety.

And his post was addressed to airlines, pilots, drug dealers, and human traffickers.

And that's pretty much all we've heard.

No other details or any clarification.

Bottom line, though, is that the president does not have the authority to close another country's airspace.
