Like everyday people...
who feel like mothers and fathers and just people working at the job, but something sparked in them, that voice that maybe got put away a long time ago, and it sparked to the surface of, I believe I'm here for something more, something more than just clocking in or nine to five or data entry or being an accountant.
Or if I'm going to be an accountant, how can I be the kind of accountant that only I can be?
And that's in all of us.
It's important.
Not all of us are meant to be the Pied Piper.
Not all of us are meant to be Elon Musk or a president of the United States or any country.
Not all of us are meant to be that.
And to be honest, most of us don't really want that.
I don't want that.
If you said you could be president, I would say, no, thank you.
If you said you could be a jet pilot, I'd say, no, thank you.
If you said you could be an all-star on the NBA, I would say, no, thanks.
So there's something about us.
And when we're being whatever that is,
whether it's at the level of the shopkeeper or the small business or just that employee at a company, as Stephen Covey would say, is a trim tab, meaning they're in their center of influence and they're bringing excellence.
And even if you're the person in the mailroom,
If you're willing to bring the best version of yourself, you're going to be elevated and you're going to find fulfillment.
So it's not about scale and scope and quantity.
It's about our quality of life and a quality of authenticity.
