What a great question.
You know, when I was 20 years old, I wanted to I wanted to work in journalism, but I wanted to be an international correspondent.
I was fascinated by the war in the Middle East and U.S.
grand strategy toward, you know, the Islamic terrorist.
And, you know, I when I first got offered a position in economics, I didn't think that I wanted it.
I was afraid of how hard it would be to become an economics writer.
I ended up with some cajoling taking the job, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.
But I would tell myself at 20 to take more risks because people are fundamentally resilient, and they can handle the downside of those risks.
What's harder to handle, I think, is the regret of not knowing what could be if you didn't take that leap.
