And I think the other part of this is if you built on pitching and have a huge lead in pitching categories in a Roto League right now, this is the part of the calendar when the weather warms up and the ball starts to fly and even good pitchers start to get hit a little bit more.
So you've banked some great ratios already.
I think it's the sweet spot for trading in excess of pitching, especially if it's some of those younger guys.
As good as they are, as much as we like them in the long term, it's an ideal time to cash them in for a lot more than what you paid for on draft day.
Yeah, so, I mean, a little bit tongue-in-cheek, a few years ago, we were talking about Matthew Libertor as he was trying to kind of break in with the Cardinals.
And at the time, he'd fallen off prospect lists.
The little bits we'd seen, the results weren't good.
The model numbers weren't good.
And we were kind of listing off all these things that weren't working for him.
And I said, great, give me Matthew Libertor.
And the thinking is it's sort of like an anti-model approach, not because the models aren't good and because the projections don't matter.
That should be the foundation of how you build your team and how you manage your team.
But you do need to have things that differentiate you, things that you either get on board with earlier if it's a new metric that you think is particularly important.
Buy into something like that, you know, like lean into that with part of your roster.
I think the other way I would really think about it is questioning what makes a projection break.
I think of a player like Ezekiel Tovar.
I've got someone in one of my dynasty leagues trying to trade for Ezekiel Tovar.
And I don't know why I haven't given away Ezekiel Tovar yet, but his projections are actually good.
That's part of the reason why.
So I think when you start to look at projections and something doesn't look right, you can dig into that, look at the underlying numbers some more, and just come up with your own conclusions in some of these instances.
