I know do your own research is a loaded thing to say, but...
I think there are instances in which we are being misguided by the actual projections that are out there.
If everybody's using them, you have to veer a little bit.
You've got to zig when everyone else zags.
Otherwise, you'll probably have a good team.
You'll probably be top half or maybe even finish in the money every year.
But I think what's going to separate the good players from the great players is having some of your own ideas and actually implementing them.
I think we undervalued this class in particular, and that's not something that happens in fantasy draft seasons very often.
I think about where J.J.
Weatherholt was being drafted, where Kevin McGonigal was being drafted.
I think they were pretty consistently outside the top 200 overall in a lot of drafts, so pretty late-round picks.
Definitely not the typical higher-end guys that get jumped up into the top 100 as you get to those drafts closer to opening day.
I think some of the uncertainty around when the Pirates were going to debut Connor Griffin kind of kept his price in check for most of the spring.
I think our collective skepticism about Munetaka Murakami's high strikeout rates in Japan, you know, kept interest in him somewhat limited from a fantasy perspective.
And his numbers are certainly pulling up this rookie class, you know, whether or not you want to count Murakami.
first-year players from Japan and Korea as part of the rookie class.
I think that's another debate that we could have at some point.
But they're in there.
They're in the numbers.
And we underestimated them, plain and simple.
