But even some of the depth guys have been good.
And I mean, Carson Bench could be a very good big leaguer for a long time after a slow start.
Yeah, I think there was a point maybe two or three weeks ago where it looked like it was trending closer to what we expected.
And I didn't expect Okamoto to run K rates below 20% like you did in Japan.
There's a pretty significant difference still in the quality and depth of the pitching in the majors versus NPB.
But if you told me these guys were going to have the same strikeout rate in the first week of June, I would have been very confused by that going into
the season.
I think we saw the adjustment Okamoto made, I believe it was just getting back a little further off the plate.
That has opened up a lot of that power.
So he's already made one pretty big adjustment.
If you said the projections are pointing to a 26% K rate the rest of the way, that's the bat X. That actually makes a lot of sense.
And maybe next year it's even a little bit better, right?
You get more comfortable being in the big leagues.
being in a new place, new teammates, new pitchers, all of those things, you know, maybe it's not just a out of the box.
This is who he is as a big leaguer.
There could be a little bit of an adjustment for him beyond this season.
Yeah, the bad X for hitting and oopsie for pitching just because it has, you know, Saris' stuff model baked in.
I do think you need to move on more granular factors with pitching.
So I think that's the separator for me.
You know, ATC is good if you want to kind of just use one set for everything because it's a composite system that grabs, I think, 13 or more projection systems out there.
