I just left.
I didn't belong in that session, but I did meet T-Pain.
Funny thing about that session is T-Pain came and he had never really worked with...
Connery, maybe even 808 Heartbreaks wasn't, I don't think T-Pain was part of that, but T-Pain brought his own rig in and he did his own auto-tune for that first song.
And then all the engineers were watching him and waiting for him to leave.
He left with his computer.
He didn't show anybody what he did.
He had this, it was like the auto-tune king at the time.
He had a perfect auto-tune usage.
And they all brought him there just to steal it, and he knew that.
And he left with the whole rig and didn't leave anybody his settings.
Which is so crazy because Auto-Tune only does like three things.
But somehow T-Pain is like the John Mayer of Auto-Tune, I guess.
I keep seeing John Mayer, but I think he has some other goats.
But yeah, that era was like, you have a sound, you just kind of move with it.
Someone wants a big record, you just kind of copy it.
Lil Jon's a good example, because remember when Lil Jon did every R&B record and they all sounded exactly the same?
It was like, yeah, goodies.
He all had like all these records with like, he had two years of just like every record on the radio.
And they all sound very similar.
