It did kind of sap the energy a little bit out of the building because they're not going to cheer as hard because they're not really diehard fans.
In basketball, hockey, when you're playing in an arena, the noise in the building really matters.
From what you know, the Garden is usually it's the lower bowl that gets everybody and the sound rises to the blue seats.
But that's not happening a lot of these games because a lot of the millionaire hedge fund people, celebrities are in the lower bowl and they just don't bring the same energy.
You legit have a problem for any time there's playoffs for New York is that it's the Super Bowl to where it's half the fans are locked out and it's a bunch of celebrities getting tickets there.
Then you genuinely, you're right, you don't feel that same energy.
It's half sucked out of there because people are just there to be seen.
Yeah, because New York, I don't know.
New York comes across as a cosmopolitan city, but I think it's a working class city.
These teams, Knicks, Giants, like the teams that are around forever, like the working class fan, and then when the cosmopolitan people come in, you could be a billionaire and be a diehard fan, but a lot of times it's just a place to be seen, right?
Like I've got to be at the Knicks game because it's happening.
I've got to be able to get my attention and get eyeballs on me and watch that.
And that's not what it's supposed to be about, but unfortunately that's what it's about with these ticket prices, man.
