The SM2 is launched from Parkway 1 for launch assistance.
Its primary mission includes fleet area defense and ship self-defense and is using SIEM active radar guidance to decisively engage and destroy even the most advanced adversary fighter aircraft.
One of our ships and company, the USS Kearney, recently fired the SM-2 missile in support of combat operations in the Red Sea.
On October 19, 2023, the USS Kearney was involved in one of the most intense combat engagements by a U.S.
Navy warship since World War II.
By the end of what became a 10-hour standoff,
Carney had shot down 15 drones and four land attack cruise missiles fired by Houthi rebels in Yemen.
This marked the most intense combat engagement of the U.S.

That Form 1 is an old, it's a way to just be out of each other's way and to manage the show a little bit better.
They can operate in a number of different configurations.
