So Jason is interesting.
He just, he mentioned trying to get them in the right positions, but you know, at a certain point, some of those open shots have to go down and some of these concession shots have to kind of go away.
So I have, I'm not a coach, but one of the things that I think has been in somewhat of a correlation to, uh,
the regression and shooting is the fact that we're not moving the ball as well.
Our assist rate has gone down about the same pace or about the same rate over the same time frame.
And as we mentioned before, it's mainly because we're getting the ball in the post and you have Kambuza or Pat Gongba kind of backing down or somebody driving to the hole and taking the assist out of that particular play.
But I think where we have always been the best team, the best version of ourselves has been when we're moving the ball around and getting a good shot passed up to a better shot in a better position with a player who's ready to shoot.
That has kind of gone by the wayside.
And I think also that's lending itself to some of the shooting going down.
So it may go hand in hand, but I think better ball movement could help with some of that outside shooting.
What do you think?
Yeah, and you mentioned the balance and โ
Earlier in the season, we saw the balance kind of skewed towards three-pointers.
We were shooting more threes than we were twos at a certain point in the season.
And that's kind of gone by as we started putting the ball in the post.
But you mentioned the post.
I think the last thing that I have here in the things to watch is don't give Pitt any breathing room with bad shots.
And what that means is if you're looking at the metrics in conference โ
Pitt is second-to-last in average two-point distance defense, right?
So they're basically saying, hey, come on in, guys.
