And that's the beauty of poetry.
It's about taking something that might seem insignificant and finding the perspective in it that actually is really important.
I think in the beginning I was worried that I might be influenced unknowingly somehow and copy someone.
You know, you have that paranoia in your brain that you're a really terrible person.
And so I kind of avoided other people's poetry, which is so silly.
But now I read, you know, and especially love these young poets that are coming up, especially the men, because it's so vital.
And, you know, they're making emotions cool.
And I just think, yes, good for you.
No, because they just would not listen or read it.
Because you're telling them right now.
Because I'm telling them.
But if somebody else was to share it with them, I'm absolutely sure that they would listen to it and get the message.
So I just, you know, hope that it will happen by osmosis somehow.
And actually, it is happening by osmosis, silent osmosis.
They are picking it up, the concepts.
But if you want your children to take something on board, don't tell them it.
