He understands nature.
My dad lacked that.
My dad had to learn it later in life.
That's not easy.
If you change career midstream, you will know, you will know too, you know, having moved to Australia and things, that learning a new life is not always easy.
And Dougal found it quite tough to make the sums add up.
We had a big farmhouse.
It had at least four big bedrooms and other small rooms as well, but four main bedrooms.
So the twins had a bedroom, my sister had a bedroom, I had a bedroom and my mum and dad had a bedroom.
And my dad used to do the milking late on Sundays.
And we used to lie in, basically, and talk about things at school or sports.
I was a keen rugby player.
Farming issues.
We'd all be in the Sunday bed together.
We used to call it the Sunday bed.
We'd all go and join my mum and dad in their bed.
And we would talk about life as it pertained to our family, you know.
One day on the radio came out a story about the round-the-world yacht race.
And it had an unforeseen outcome.
It's his fault, basically.
