If it's bloodstain, that's not normal.
But your discharge after sex, because it's often mixed with semen, will change.
And so if you're worried about it, generally it's nothing to worry about, but if you are worried about it, come and see us.
But if you're having discharge...
That's unusual for you, particularly if it's green discharge or yellow discharge or smelly discharge, then that could be an infection and that we do need to see.
For men, there shouldn't be any discharge at all.
So you might get some semen leakage as part of sex, but you shouldn't be discharging in between that.
So any discharge from the penis is not normal.
It's not like women who have this normal vaginal discharge.
That always needs checking and it's most likely a sexually transmitted illness.
Yeah.
Chlamydia is the most common STI that women tend to get.
And often it has no symptoms.
And so regular checks, particularly when you've got a new partner or you're thinking about taking a new partner, then you've got to go for regular checks because chlamydia may not give you symptoms.
It can do as well.
So it can give you clear discharge.
It can give you pain on passing urine, like a burning sensation.
It can cause bleeding after sex.
So it can do all of those things.
But a lot of the time it doesn't give you symptoms.
