To maintain them, there has to be a bit of give and take.

You can't just try and keep yourself in the mold of what that dynamic was.

And so there will be little ruptures.

I thought of myself as a wasp.

The larva and pupa-like thing you were.

The blob on the floor.

In your teeth.

I have a friend and he's very clever.

He's an actuary and he thinks like an actuary.

So he has a very unusual take on things.

And like, I remember he was one of the first people who said to me about this.

We talked last week about sexuality being a spectrum.

He entirely sees everything as logarithmic.

Do you know what I mean?

But he used to say, do you think we're friends, all of us, just because of geography?

That if we hadn't walked home the same path from school, we wouldn't have been friends.

Is it as random as that that our friendship is?

And I wanted to say no, but in my heart I said, yeah, probably.
