You're just moving them into the home, and then a bunch of them show up.
Yeah.
FIV, feline leukemia, rabies, though cats are very sort of low rabies risk, but not impossible parasites.
Um, so most people that when they have training and most veterinarians agree that the best thing is to bring them in, spay and neuter them, spay or neuter them, um,
clip that ear and we do that so that we can see them from a distance and not keep catching the same cat over and over again, looking for his testicles and then trying to neuter him and go, oh my goodness, what's going on?
And then we vaccinate them and we deworm them and we treat any sort of minor issues and then we return them outside.
People think
Homeless animals are unhappy, and a lot of them aren't.
They are community animals.
They are street dogs in India.
And again, these community cat colonies in Canada, they are happy being outside.
They just...
unfortunately breed like cats and dogs um and create a problem how do they survive the cold winter they just huddle together and meow or they find some vent like above a subway like what do they how do they survive in the minus a million cold it's yes to all of those i mean how do people survive that that live on the street they have coats and they find warm areas um and they
maybe get some help from neighbors as far as food and whatnot these these cats were designed to be outside i mean when i was up in a callowit up in the arctic north there were community cats there were street cats living outside year round when it's minus 40. um so there are ways there are places that they find that have insulation essentially break from the wind and yeah they cuddle up together they cuddle together they keep each other warm and
And, you know, occasionally a little drink from a hot toddy keeps them warm and then they're good.
Yeah, and cats can spread diseases to us.
They like to use our sandboxes as litter boxes.
So keep a lid on your kid's sandbox if your kid's lucky enough to have one.
Yeah.
