And for somebody who would have struggled to open a book, I kind of haven't closed one since.
And I think it's good for people to hear that, you know, that something you put a lot of effort into that you don't like is work.
But putting an effort into something you do like, it's passion, if that makes sense.
Yeah, so that was my starting point was, yeah, as a psychiatric mental health nurse in 1995, yeah.
I was very keen to... My first interest, I wanted to work in forensics.
I'd seen TV shows like Cracker and things like that and thought, I'll get involved in serial killers and things like that.
But that probably wasn't likely.
And then my second favourite was child and adolescent mental health.
And I remember when I did that placement, I was barely more than an adolescent myself.
I was probably 19 or 20 doing it.
But it was the thing that I got most excited about.
And so I did a postgrad in child and adolescent mental health
And then I went to London and I worked in Great Ormond Street in the child and adolescent mental health unit.
Then I worked in Edinburgh and then I was introduced to psychoanalysis over there.
They were kind of working actively with that.
