I wanted to see if someone agrees or disagrees with what my theory is.
And sometimes people just want that.
They just want to understand something.
And that's the thing.
Therapy puts words on feelings for you that make sense, and it gives you information to better understand yourself.
And I think I heard you and Jenny talk about this, but the capacity to know yourself and make a decision based on that knowledge
is utterly under your own control.
Do you know what I mean?
I can give you all the information and I can tell you why I think this is happening, whether you change that.
And I always think knowledge is never a direct correlation to change.
We all know
that cabbage is better than a donut, but we still have the donut.
We all know that we shouldn't be doing this, but we do it anyway.
And therapy is no different to that.
You never can guarantee cure, but you can hopefully enable someone to facilitate change if that was possible.
