The coping strategies, the self-regulation tools, the way of getting around the hacks that mothers have developed and dads have developed over the years no longer works.
It all starts showing up.
I can see the walls coming down and everything feeling very different.
For the first time.
Yeah.
For the first time.
And when it reveals itself, people do come to, they're not seeking an ADHD diagnosis.
They're not seeking an autism diagnosis.
They're seeking help with their depression.
They're seeking help with their anxiety or the distress they're feeling.
And I'm like, have we thought about, because if we look back, you were over-functioning.
You were stimming.
You were doing things to regulate your brain back then.
And now you're unable to do any of those things which suited your nervous system.
So how do we bring that back?
Because that would be very helpful if we can find time for you to do Minecraft for five hours.
I don't know.
