That's a narrative that really does undermine what's actually happening biologically in the matricence.
However far we go in furthering women's rights, the biology is still there.
Biology hasn't changed 300,000 years.
We're still having this pull towards this baby that will make us feel in some way something shifted.
Something has shifted inside, right?
So, no, you can't have it all.
Not all at once.
Not all at once.
Yeah.
You can have it all, just not all at once.
Totally.
The ambivalent state, the pull towards the baby, but there's a push to that.
That push, I still want that, but do I want it in the way that I wanted it before?
Hence the boundary with employer.
Return to work is a big topic, actually, for women, because your new self meets your old self.
And you don't know your old self is there.
So you get to work, you're like, first day of work, and you're like...
I don't like this.
It doesn't feel good.
And perhaps the work you're in is also not set up for the new self.
