Individuals are recognizing that as appetite decreases, what you eat becomes more important.
And dietary protein is critical for a number of things.
It's critical for, like we said, the body regenerates itself four times a year as you age.
which aging is interesting is anytime over the age of 35 when you're not growing taller anymore or having new growth is that it becomes less efficient.
And when one becomes less efficient at protein turnover, what does that mean?
You might notice that your hair doesn't have the same texture or that you're not getting the same recovery.
Maybe when you were young, if you cut your finger, it heals in a day.
As you age, you might notice you cut your finger and three days later, you're like, oh man, it's still not healing.
So this is an efficiency problem.
Time-restricted feeding is no problem.
Eating in an eight- to nine-hour window, which then makes the rest of the time fasted, is not a problem.
I am talking about going days without eating.
Okay, good.
Three-day fast, not good.
Time-restricted feeding is totally... I don't even consider that fasting.
I think that that's just a way of...
you know, creating an eating plan.
My favorite is actually lean red meat.
And the reason it's lean red meat is number one, it tastes amazing.
But number two, we have to begin to move into what we think about as nutrient density.
