And there's a line in there that has moved me deeply over the years as I've gotten older that says, there are dreams that cannot be, and there are some storms we cannot weather.

Now, we don't say that hopelessly as Christians.

We say that though, recognizing that life is miserable.

And

I can say I am blessed beyond all measure.

I have no right to say anything about what it means to suffer.

But I have suffered.

I know what that means.

And in suffering, I am sharing and partaking of my human brothers and sisters as I do.

So something about this, Dante is very personal, is yet another one of these great moments when he becomes every man.
