The last doctor I mentored, I said, Hey, you need to do this, you know, and at blue cross, they'd go, okay, I'm going for my walk now.
I had some other clients too, that always took their pets and stuff and they have a wonderful time.
All the hiking, they went to national parks and now.
So, so much more in the dogs very rarely did, but yes, I did see a couple of things in, in cats and, and such that had to be taken care of.
The cruciate ligaments, the biggest things, torn ACLs, basically.
Smaller dogs, it would be patella luxation and such.
But with some research from years, they kind of felt like because we wanted to spay dogs by six months, so...
to decrease the chance of mammary cancer, which was really proven to be the case, found out that maybe that's where part of the problems with the hormones weren't in long enough to really secure those ligaments and stuff.
So we had to change and just make this discussion with owners with their larger dogs regarding, do we wait until
you know, 18 months, 20 months to spay their female dog to have a better chance of having sturdier ligaments and stuff in their knees or stifles.
