I think there's a few things.
I think we need to really be taking responsibility for how we contribute to the beauty industry as individual people.
I think we need to ask questions of ourselves first.
about what we communicate in our world, about what the standard is.
And we need to think that we're like, there is an industry that exists somewhere.
And I say this at the end of the book.
I imagine there's an office of people who are plotting, employing to see how we can make women not like themselves.
So we would buy products.
But I also think I'm a critical thinker.
I have an education.
I also have to think about what I communicate to the little girls that are coming up behind me.
And I think so we need to take responsibility for that.
little bit more ourselves individually but I also think the message is it's possible to like yourself in your own body whatever shape or size that is it's impossible to it's possible to not be so driven for achievements that you sacrifice everything you feel tired all the time and it's possible to have great sex and be empowered as a woman and not feel like you have to give
less of yourself or expect less and I think that the message is also that like there is no perfect solution in this like I'm not fixed I still have the desire to be smaller sometimes but I have a moment and I think mental health support and therapy can get women to that point especially those of us who've experienced a lot of trauma which I have and I'm so happy in my life like I think
Just to finally say, I think sometimes we have this idea that like people look at me with a side head, a little tilt.
Oh, God, you've been through so much.
Like, I'm so happy, Claire.
Like, I have a joyous life.
I have so much love in my life.
And it is actually possible to heal and not just heal, but also thrive in spite of what you've been through.
