One way that we can get out of identity paralysis is to define yourself not simply by what you do, but by why you do that thing.
But the problem is that life can effortlessly get in the way and make other plans for you, and suddenly you can be denied those labels.

We sometimes forget that we ourselves change.
When a big change happens to us, it also inspires lasting change within us.
Big goals are very psychologically daunting, and it can be very discouraging to only see returns on our investment months and years down the line.
Break big goals into small, manageable, achievable goals that will give you a feeling of accomplishment in the short term.
