So for lions, that peak is earlier in the night.
For wolves, that peak is later in the night.
But just know that there's a peak.
When you hit that peak and then there's a drop in the core body temperature, that's a signal to your brain to release melatonin.
Now your core body temperature drops, drops, drops, drops, drops.
Everything's doing good.
By the way, this is one of the reasons why you want to sleep in a very cool environment because your core body temperature is going down.
This is also another reason why we don't exercise right before bed because our core body temperature heats our body up and makes it more difficult for us to fall asleep.
Core body temperature down, down, down.
At some point in time, your body has to heat up.
Otherwise you go hypothermic and you die.
Guess what time that is?
Between one and three o'clock in the morning.
So every single human on earth, their body begins to heat up at that period of time.
That's where they get the cortisol spike.
So they get this cortisol spike, they wake up.
Here's what actually ends up happening.
Every single human on earth, I want to be super clear, whether it's you, whether it's your spouse, whether it's anybody that you know, every single human on earth wakes up somewhere between one and three o'clock in the morning.
But the truth of the matter is, here's what usually happens.
They burp, they fart, they roll over, and they go back to sleep, okay?
