That's what I tell them.
Because here's the bottom line is it really works.
The only thing that's preventing them from getting there is between their ears.
biologically speaking, their body wants to go back to sleep.
What we're trying to do is distract your monkey mind enough to allow that natural process to come back in.
So here's what I tell everybody is I give them a challenge.
I said, great, do it every single time you wake up for the next two weeks.
and let me know how it goes.
And if it doesn't work, I will give you permission to X, Y, or Z, right?
I've never had anybody come back to me.
Literally, never.
I've been doing this for 26 years.
Never had a single person come back to me that said it wasn't helpful in some way.
Now, I want to be clear.
Not everybody falls asleep every single time.
But it definitely calms you down enough so that you're not getting anxious.
Because remember, anxiety is our enemy in the middle of the night.
It is not what we're looking to do.
But yeah, there are people out there who don't want to, you know, kind of do these things.
