But generally speaking, higher heart rate variability means I've had the opportunity to go to a high heart rate.
I've had the opportunity to go to a low heart rate in this 24 hour period of time.
And here's the average distance between those.
Tell me what really poorly is to you.
If you don't mind, what's your number?
Yep.
So that's low for sure.
To be clear, like there was a long period of time in my life where mine was 18 and I'm three years older than you.
I'm 58.
So you look better than I do.
I don't know about that.
But here's what I will tell you is HRV is modifiable and it's definitely something that you can do.
Here's my guess is the reason that your HRV is low is you look like a guy who does more resistance training than cardio.
Is that true?
Yeah.
And so resistance training is very short bursts.
So let's say you're a bench press.
How often are you actually pushing and how often is your heart rate increasing?
Very small compared to a cardiac.
So like if you're going for a run for 20 minutes every day, that's very different than bench pressing from a cardiovascular standpoint, right?
