The question that patients are most embarrassed to ask, anything around sex, anything around ejaculation, they are embarrassed to ask.
I will say my patients, my patients who have a vulva are embarrassed to ask about their anatomy because they are ashamed that they don't know it.
Um, so I had a patient who was like honest with me, like, I'm embarrassed to add, like, where do we pee out of?
You know what I'm saying?
Um, I mean, these are grown adults.
Um, and so, and I, and I kind of tell patients, especially my vulva owners, like it's a, you are a product of our society and our society has allowed us women to, um,
look at a part of our body with like, not to look at it, but to like think that a part of our body is like a mystery.
We are not encouraged to, we're not taught about it.
We're not encouraged to look at it and to explore it in any kind of way.
Some of us have never seen our own vagina.
I saw a woman who was like in her sixties.
She was like, I've never looked at it in a mirror.
Um, and so we, so don't feel bad basically.
Yeah, we need more.
I will tell you something.
If I lined up 100 doctors, random specialties, most of them couldn't name all the parts of this.
So your inner lips or labia minora is the official term.
