Yeah.
I mean, when I was in training, I was getting three to five hours and getting up and operating and functioning.
I mean, a breastfeeding mother is getting three to four hours.
That is part of the, wow, we're built.
We can function, but age will take that resilience away from us.
I think we have more at public education about how important sleep is and the number of hours you need and the quality of the sleep.
So I think years ago it was their normal and I'm just going to keep going.
But now they're coming in saying this is a problem.

Most people are taking 5 to 10.
10, yeah.
So I've been working with a sleep medicine specialist.
And one of the things she points out, which I now discuss with my patients, is if women wake up in menopause from hot flashes, from night sweats, and then the relaxation we get from progesterone is gone, so we can add that back in.
So say we've done all the things.
We've given her a touch of melatonin.
We've put her on hormones.
She is still waking up at 3 in the morning consistently.
She deserves a workup for sleep apnea.
