But now we're realizing that some of the original research around the Women's Health Initiative is being reanalyzed.
there's more opportunity, I would say, for having opportunity to use hormone therapy in a much safer manner.
And I think the modes of delivery, when I say that, it could be that you're taking it by a pill or you're taking it as a patch, meaning it's like a sticker of what kind of you can wear on your skin to deliver the medication in a much safer manner.
options that are safe and effective, and also realizing from some of the data, the interpretation of that original study may not be what we originally thought.
And so they're reanalyzing it to make it where we have more of a window and opportunity for women.
But again, I'm not advocating that everybody should be on hormone therapy, but it's just that some women can't be on it or choose not to for whatever reason, but there are non-hormonal options
that women can take specifically around hot flashes, certainly an option as well.
I think that there's, if that's of interest.
And so I think that there's other, there's classes that you can, there are hormone therapies, there's non-hormone therapies to kind of help with some of these signs and symptoms.
And I think there's obviously, there's lots of, there's the mental health kind of medications as well, if that is of interest or an option.
I think that that certainly can be explored, but because it is so individualized and knowing your history, knowing your family history, whether you might be at risk for something, all of that is very, very carefully calculated before giving a prescription of something like a hormone therapy or even understanding maybe you want to... I'm of the idea of less is more kind of mentality when it comes to medication and prescriptions.
making sure it is the right fit and the right dose for you as well.
And it doesn't mean if you're on it, you have to be on it forever.
